As excited bargain hunters ready themselves for big sales the day after Thanksgiving, businesses are also preparing for the rush of customers.
"I always compare 'Black Friday' to Disney World. It's a 45-minute line for a fun ride. And it is a fun ride," said Jim Lemmon, general manager of Best Buy. "We'll have people lined up at the crack of dawn."
Best Buy, like most stores, will have extra staff and security on duty in case shoppers get out of hand.

A black school teacher who claimed white police officers abused and assaulted her agreed Friday to a plea deal convicting her of resisting arrest and disturbing the peace.
Under the deal announced late Friday, 24-year-old Heather Ellis avoided a felony conviction for her part in the scuffle at a Wal-Mart store in the southeast Missouri town of Kennett in January 2007.
The case drew national attention because it had racial overtones: Ellis is black and the customer she argued with, assistant store manager and police officers are white.

Clad in leathers and looking tough, a group of Harley riders invaded Wal-Mart on Thursday evening and hauled away a truckload of Barbies, baby dolls and Tonka trucks — all in support of Toys for Tots.
"Oh my God, we had a blast — we really had a great shopping trip," said Madeline Steeley, director of the Glacier Chapter of Harley Owners Group.
"It brings you back to your childhood."
Starting at 6 p.m., a group of eight bikers revved up a fleet of carts and powered off to buy piles of holiday treasures for needy children.

Appropriate that Wal-Fart should sell caskets. They are responsible for the deaths of many of their employees--due to the lazy, stupid clowns who manage their stores and the poor medical benefits they give their employees. This Christmas I hope the greedy Walton brats and the top Wal-Fart executives get visits from Charles Dickens's ghosts. They need to be reminded of the true meaning of Christmas if anyone does.
